We currently live in a world where visual stimulation takes precedence over other senses, and factors such as emotions, perception and memories are neglected. Today, people are exposed to stress, the speed of everyday life and the influence of social media. All the stressful aspects of modern times affect the younger and older population. By using old knowledge and activating all human senses in experiencing the environment, various human abilities are engaged, and the refinement of focus and the development of creativity are encouraged. The intention is to design a spatial “oasis” that integrates all five senses and aims to create a calming and stimulating environment where visitors will temporarily forget the stressful segments of everyday life. Senior experts, who have dedicated their entire lives to a certain craft, will pass on their knowledge to young people so that they can develop it in innovative ways. The goal of the existence of such a space is dual and includes creative development and education for young people, and the preservation of mental functions and prolonging the quality of life for seniors. These two target groups complement each other in this space. The relationship to the inherited values of the space is reflected through the memory of the place. By activating the senses, we awaken the memory that space reflects.
