IUSTINIANA PRIMA: ARCHEOLOGY, MYTH, OPEN AIR THEATRE
The goal of this Master Project is contained in the intention to conceptually explore the interactivity of archaeological fragments of architecture and landscape. It is a question of the supposed openness of architectural structure to formal variability and programmatic mobility in favor of the visibility of the scenicity of an archeological site. The life of an architectural concept is examined in relation to the aesthetics of the ruins, on the one hand, and the kinetics of the structure, on the other. The program of the theater thus appears in direct thematic and physical contact with the landscape and the open sky, while the “myth” of the Byzantine theater is named using the designed method.
