The thematic framework of the course is the design of the conceptual architectural and urban design of the Rowing Club, Ada Ciganlija in Belgrade, with further development of all phases of the project – its basic elements – from the Conceptual design and Building permit design final with a Detailed design. In addition to phasing, the project development is also characterized by the production of different parts of the project: Architectural design and Structural design.
The aim of the course is to acquaint students through the various phases and elements of architectural and urban design, as simulations of the design process of buildings, with the necessary content of technical documentation, as well as relevant regulations in the field of architectural design and construction, considering the normative influences on the design process. Through the development of the project, the acquired knowledge is synthesized and improved, taking into account all the complexity of the profession, which requires the harmonization of different requirements when solving a specific architectural problem.
Theoretical and practical teaching prepares the architectural-urban design, with the elements of the structural design, according to the defined project task for a specific location. The work on the task includes design and technical solutions, and special emphasis is given to the design of the structure, the materialization of the building and architectural technologies, architectural detail and sustainability.
