BELGRADE: BELOW AND ABOVE BELGRADE – In the labyrinth of art and science
The Master’s project’s primary goal is the spatial elaboration of the analyzed problems of inter-disciplinary transitions between architecture and the scientific fields of philosophy, geography, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, history, and technology and the explanation of their relationship and interdependence. The informedness of architecture with other fields and its ability to articulate space and manage values, standards, ideas, processes, and relations between these fields reveal disciplinary translation procedures, enabling students to master the skills needed for understanding programmatic requirements and guidelines as broader socially conditioned values, as well as for architectural configuration and typological determination. Application of theoretical research and conclusions in forming the basic conceptual construct – an architectural urbanistic concept. Analysis and systematization of project and planning documentation – location, legal regulations, and guidelines. Context analysis – the existing situation, potentials. Programmatic analysis and comparative analysis of examples of contemporary architecture towards the application of innovative solutions. Proposal of the project task and program.
