DESERT IN THE CITY: ACCESS DENIED
Many abandoned complexes, facilities, construction sites in the context of our cities have endured decades of dormancy. After all the years of rejection and deposition of various problematic situations, such spaces become unrecognizable on the map of the city after a certain time. It is necessary to provide design solutions that both revitalize the existing situation and establish a specific relationship to it. The task calls for the formation of a different attitude towards what has been rejected and what is, in a sense, becoming like a modern ruin. The topic calls for redefining the program, opening the possibility for expanding the boundaries of invisible and neglected places in the city.
